Portable Axle Weighing Scale Weighing Solution

TIME: 2023.12.19 NUMBER OF VIEWS 236

The use of portable car weighing scales has become increasingly popular in various industries and applications. These scales are designed to accurately measure the weight of vehicles, providing valuable information for a range of purposes.

One of the main uses of portable car weighing scales is in the transportation and logistics industry. These scales allow for the precise measurement of the weight of trucks and other commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with weight restrictions and regulations. Overloaded vehicles can cause damage to roads and bridges, pose safety risks, and result in costly fines. Portable car weighing scales help to prevent these issues by providing accurate weight measurements on-site, allowing for immediate adjustments to be made if necessary.

Portable axle load scales are also used in various fields such as automotive safety inspections, logistics transportation, ports, mines, and construction sites. The most notable feature of portable axle scales is their lightweight weighing plates, which are equipped with plastic covers, making them easy to carry. Additionally, the instrument is equipped with a printing function, allowing it to print out the wheel load, axle load, approved load capacity, and overload weight of the vehicle.

The solution consists of weighing plates and an instrument. The signal transmission between the weighing plates and the instrument can be either wired or wireless. The cable of the wired weighing plates is equipped with a high-strength protective cable spring to prevent the cable from being broken. The default length of the cable is usually 10 meters. On the other hand, the wireless weighing plates can transmit signals without obstacles within a distance of 20-30 meters.

Wired axle load scales are more cost-effective, while wireless axle load scales provide stable signal transmission. Each option has its own advantages, and customers can choose according to their own needs. There are generally two measurement methods for axle load scales: dynamic measurement and static measurement.

Dynamic measurement involves the vehicle passing through the weighing plates at a constant speed of 5 km/h without stopping. The axle load scale sequentially measures the weight of each axle and calculates the total weight of the entire vehicle. Only two weighing plates are required for dynamic measurement.

Static measurement, on the other hand, involves all wheels of the vehicle being placed on the weighing plates for measurement, similar to a simplified weighbridge. This measurement method provides higher accuracy compared to dynamic measurement. However, it requires as many weighing plates as the number of wheels on the vehicle, making it generally more expensive. Customers can choose the measurement method based on their specific requirements and circumstances.
